buggy riding

I acquired a mini buggy for the kids. It didn't run but didn't need much work. The kart is one of the "chinese" variety that has taken the ATV world by storm over the past 10 years. This particular unit appears to be of quality construction as opposed to many others of the type. The kids like riding it and rode it at full throttle for about an hour. I know that they were riding full throttle because any less and the buggy won't move. The buggy is powered by a 4-cycle engine about the size of a weedeater engine. It is electric start, has a horn, shocks, seat belts and a roll cage. We were riding here. Notice Dylan's short hair; for the last day of school he wanted it shaved.

End of the year pool party

We invited all of Dylan's class over for an end of the year pool party. Not everyone came (we anticipated this) but those that did come had fun.

Final bathroom project

The house we live in has three bathrooms. We have now renovated all three. The final bathroom is downstairs and is at the end of a hall where the laundry room and under-the-stairs closet are. I removed the layers of linoleum in the bathroom and hall/laundry/stairs and tiled all with 16x16 slate bought from my neighbor (for a buck a tile). The bathroom then got a new tub to replace the old one piece yellowing shower/tub combo. New toilet, vanity, tile shower surround, mirror, and lights rounded out the job. I am happy there are no more 1980's bathrooms in this house.
