Kelly visits

My cousin Kelly came to visit. We had a small gathering to enjoy the pool and let all the little ones play. The kids pictured are Dylan, Jake, Taylin, Ty, and Parker.

Bathroom project

Norm and Tom Silva from This Old House would be proud. A toilet that has been leaking slowly for 18 years caused the subfloor to rot in one of the upstairs bathrooms. I ripped out the layers of linoleum and removed the rotten subfloor. A little restructuring is the result. Next week I hope to have the new subfloor in and the wonderboard installed, ready for tile.

Independence Day 2006

Amy and I hosted a pool party to celebrate Independence Day. We had 24 guests. I smoked 9 racks of baby back ribs on the upper/lower racks of my smoker. Also had a Costco ham, 5 fruits, cookies (made by Amy), and other items. A good time was had by all.
